January 27, 2022 (Reno, Nev.) - Today Teamsters Union Local 533 and Teamsters Chauffeurs & Helpers Local Union No 150 are picketing in support of UPS's part-time workers. UPS members were recently forced to take a massive pay reduction — while United Parcel Service has been raking in billions of quarterly profits.
"For decades now, corporations here and around the world have treated working families like disposable commodities," said NNCLC President Mike Pilcher. "Their "buy low, sell high" Wall Street mentality has devastated middle class lives by lowering wages. Shame on the United Parcel Service. There is nothing "united" about putting corporate profits above the workers who created them."
