NLRB General Counsel Abruzzo Issues Memo on Captive Audience Meetings

Today, General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo issued a memo announcing that she will ask the Board to rule that mandatory meetings, including captive audience meetings, are a violation of the National Labor Relations Act.

The next step will be for the Board to vote. All the eyes of the labor movement should focus on this request. If - and how - the board members vote will speak volumes. We urge them to vote in concurrence with General Counsel Abruzzo and protect the rights of workers.
