President's Message

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Statement from AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka

The National Labor Relations Board has reversed course today after suspending all union elections last month and using COVID-19 as an excuse to deny workers the opportunity to have a voice on the job. As America’s workers are on the front lines of this global pandemic and demand a voice, we deserve a path to unionization. Today’s decision to resume elections is a step in the right direction, but we cannot allow ourselves to grow weary. This administration’s caustic hostility to collective bargaining has manifested itself in the most anti-worker NLRB in America’s history. We will continue to fight every anti-worker ruling and grow the American labor movement.

In Solidarity,
